Do you sometimes experience difficulties accessing certain websites in institutions or at work, like with social networks or other websites? Learn how to unblock websites with this article.

The first you can try is to use proxy servers. These are also known as anonymizers, for the fact that they use anonymous IP addresses in order to gain access to websites that is blocked by a firewall. In order to do this, you can Google for a list of proxy servers and choose the address you would like to use. Then, in your web browser, change the Internet setting to add the proxy. Launch the proxy address bar; where in the bar, you will need to type in the URL of the website you want to access. Then, press Enter. Another method that is more reliable is using web proxies instead; however, you will be seeing a lot of advertisements as well.

On the other hand, you can make use of IP addresses instead. To do this, use search engines to find for the IP address of the blocked website. Then, copy the IP address of the website in the web address page.

Another thing you can try is to use Google tools instead, such as Google Cache. To use this tool, you will need to enter Google website, and then Google for the website you would like to unblock. In the results, look for the URL of the page you want to unblock. Click 'cached' next to the URL, where you will have access to the website. Other Google tools you can use instead are Google Mobile Search and Google Proxy.

You can also use URL redirect services, which are common in some establishments. Access into the page that provides the URL redirect services, then, type out a new URL that will be used to search the blocked website. If the URL is free for use, the URL redirect service will launch a personal information form by which you will need to fill up. Then, you will be provided with choices of the type of accounts offered by the URL redirect service. Choose the basic account as you will be able to use the service for free then. Proceed and type the private URL so you can access the blocked website.

Now that you know how to unblock websites to have access to them, use this knowledge responsibly. It is your risk to take on the websites you choose to unblock.
