Matchbox has a hot and exciting new addition to the Big Rig Buddies line of interactive toys this year called Matchbox Stinky the Garbage Truck. Children ages 3 and older will fall in love with this toy's feisty personality, not to mention his over ninety clever phrases and sounds. Kids will also like the fact that Stinky the Garbage Truck has extra-large and simple to move articulated parts that allow movement of Stinky's cab, wheels and body. In addition to Stinky's moving parts, he also has sensory points located at various locations that trigger various phrases, sounds and movements.
Stinky the Garbage Truck has five interactive modes of play, but moms and dads will appreciate the fact that Stinky can be turned off and played with just like any normal toy vehicle. Pushing or pulling Stinky will trigger his head-like cab to turn and headlights to blink. Children will love the ability to make Stinky talk by triggering a number of sensors in the smoke stack, rear door and vehicle bottom.
The real fun starts when Stinky gets hungry. The grille on the front of the cab serves as his mouth and children will love to feed Stinky small items or toys that get dumped out later. He also functions just like a real garbage truck. Just drop items into the top compartment and Stinky will expel them out of the back door just by pulling on his smoke stack. When he dumps the toys from his garbage holder, he will make a rather funny sound and say "Excuse Me!". Kids absolutely love making Stinky do this and they will get hours of enjoyment out of making him perform this silly action.
Stinky the Garbage Truck also dances and sings just by pushing or pulling his smoke stack. He will raise up on two wheels and start to sing a silly song. If you leave Stinky alone for too long, he will turn himself off and go to sleep. Once it is time to play again, just press his smoke stack and he wakes right up!
Each Stinky the Garbage Truck comes with a Matchbox Big Rig Buddies video featuring Stinky and the rest of the Big Rig Buddies gang. You also get 4 C batteries that are just for demo purposes and you will definitely want to change those out as soon as you get him out of the box.
If you are looking for a funny, lovable and all around safe interactive toy for children ages three and up, it is hard to go wrong with this toy. There is no need to worry about sturdiness over time as it is built tough enough to take the rough play from this age group. The bonus video is nice as well and is a great accompaniment to this toy. There is no doubt that kids will want to watch the DVD while playing with Stinky the Garbage Truck.
Most retailers are expecting this to be one of the hottest toys of 2010 so make sure that you order early and avoid the holiday rush!
